Dato' Mohamad Hanafiah Haji Zakaria, D.P.M.T., A.S.A. is an experienced former Deputy Public Prosecutor / Senior Federal Counsel with a demonstrated history of working in the legal sector of the Malaysian government service with more than 35 years of experience. Skilled in Trials, Prosecution, Criminal Law and Criminal Litigation.
Dato' Hanafiah obtained his LL.B (Honours) Degree from Universiti Malaya.
Dato' Hanafiah has helmed various positions whilst in the Judicial and Legal Service of Malaysia such as the Solicitor General III of Malaysia, the Head of Appellate & Trials at the Attorney General's Chambers, the Deputy Head of Prosecution (Operation) at the Attorney General's Chambers and in the '80s as a Magistrate in the district of Kampar, Perak and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.
Prior to Dato' Hanafiah's retirement, he was the Director General of the Judicial and Legal Training Institute (ILKAP) under the Prime Minister's Department and was also a Board Member of Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia (PTPTN) representing the Attorney General of Malaysia from 2018 - 2020.
Post-retirement, Dato' Hanafiah is currently an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya practising under the name and style of Messrs. Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria.
Dato' Hanafiah is also a Life Member of the Judicial and Legal Service Officers' Association (JALSOA).

Puan Fauzidah graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) degree from the University of Malaya. Puan Fauzidah started her career as a Senior Federal Counsel attached to the International Advisory Division at the Attorney General Chambers (AGC) in 1985. In 1994, she was transferred to Melaka High Court as a Deputy Registrar.
Subsequently Puan Fauzidah left the Malaysian Judicial & Legal Service in 1996, to join Messrs Mohd Khamil & Co as an Advocate and Solicitor. During her tenure with the firm, she dealt with meetings and negotiations of privatisation initiatives on behalf of the Johor State Government as its external legal adviser. Puan Fauzidah also attended to the drafting and negotiations of other privatisation matters such as the privatisation of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the privatisation of the Air Traffic Services, the privatisation of KL Tower, the privatisation of MARA Shipyard & Engineering (Terengganu) Sdn Bhd as well as the development of the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia.
In 2003, Puan Fauzidah went on to expand her exposure in construction and project development with Yayasan Albukhary; where among others, she was involved in the development of the following projects:

In 2009 Puan Fauzidah left Yayasan Albukhary to join Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) in Johor. She was made the Senior Vice President (Legal) of Iskandar Investment Berhad and subsequently was tasked to lead IIB’s Real Asset Management Department which was responsible for the management and development of IIB’s 2,230 acres (9.0 km2) township called Medini which is Malaysia's largest single urban development to date.
Puan Fauzidah and her team played a vital role in stakeholder management, creating the mechanism for an online registration system for lease development at the Johor PTG office as well as the creation of templates for the use of developers in the Department of Housing, Ministry of Local Government Development.
Currently, Puan Fauzidah heads our Johor Bahru office and is also a Commissioner for Oaths.

Dato' Ishak Mohd Yusoff, D.I.M.P., J.S.M. is an experienced former Deputy Public Prosecutor / Senior Federal Counsel with a demonstrated history of working in the legal sector of the Malaysian government service with more than 31 years of experience. Skilled in Prosecution, Criminal Law and Criminal Litigation.
Dato' Ishak obtained his Diploma in Law from the MARA Institute of Technology in 1989. In 1991, Dato' Ishak obtained his Advanced Diploma in Law from MARA Institute of Technology. In 2009, Dato' Ishak obtained his LL.M in Criminal Prosecution from the University of Wollongong, Australia.
Dato' Ishak has helmed various positions whilst in the Judicial and Legal Service of Malaysia such as Deputy Head of Prosecution Division I, Attorney General's Chambers of Malaysia, Deputy Head of Appellate & Trials Division, Attorney General's Chambers of Malaysia, Director of Criminal Cases Management, Attorney General's Chambers of Malaysia and Head of General and Sexual Crimes Unit, Prosecution Division, Attorney General's Chambers of Malaysia.
Dato' Ishak was also previously the President of the Industrial Court of Malaysia and a Chairman of the Advisory Board, Prime Minister's Department, Malaysia.
Dato' Ishak retired from the Malaysian Judicial and Legal Service in May 2022.
For his contributions to the Malaysian Judicial & Legal Service and to the nation as a whole, Dato' Ishak was awarded the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (D.I.M.P.) and the darjah Johan Setia Mahkota (J.S.M.) in 2016.
Post-retirement, Dato' Ishak is currently practising as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Dato' Ishak is also an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Law, MARA University of Technology (UiTM).

Datuk Azian Mohd Aziz, P.J.N. graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) degree from the University of Malaya. Her career began on 1 October 1987 with her appointment as a Federal Counsel in Attorney General’s Chambers. Datuk Azian has held various positions throughout her career, such as a Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Transport, Senior Federal Counsel in Advisory Division and Research Division of the Attorney General’s Chambers, Senior Assistant Parliamentary Draftsman and Legal Advisor of the Ministry of Defence.
In 2009, Datuk Azian was appointed as the Corporation Secretary of Putrajaya Corporation (“PPJ”). Later in 2010, Datuk Azian was made the Director General of the Judicial and Legal Training Institute (“ILKAP”) at the Prime Minister’s Department. Subsequently in 2012, Datuk Azian was appointed as the Treasury Solicitor, Ministry of Finance. In 2014, Datuk Azian was then made the Deputy Head of Advisory Division (Municipal) I of the Attorney General’s Chambers. In late 2016, Datuk Azian was promoted as the Head of International Affairs Division, Attorney General’s Chambers and subsequently in late 2018, the Head of Advisory Division, Attorney General's Chambers. From 16 December 2020 until 26 June 2023, Datuk Azian was the Parliamentary Draftsman of the Attorney General’s Chambers.
Datuk Azian was awarded the Darjah Panglima Jasa Negara ("P.J.N.") by His Majesty the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong in 2021 for her contributions to the nation as a Senior Legal Officer of the Malaysian Judicial and Legal Service.
Post retirement, Datuk Azian is now an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, practising at Messrs. Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Datuk Azian is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Malaysia's sovereign wealth fund.
Previously throughout her career, Datuk Azian has sat as a director of various entities such as the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (“LHDNM”), Sepang International Circuit, Amanah Raya Berhad, Amanah Raya Trustees, Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad, Institut Jantung Negara and Syarikat Prasarana Nasional Berhad. Datuk Azian has also previously sat on the Board of Advisors of Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia (“ILIM”).

Gin Han obtained his LLB (Hons) from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) and after which he pursued his LLM in Business Law from IIUM.
Gin Han spent most of his past career as a Deputy Public Prosecutor. He served several states such as Penang, Pahang, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) HQ in Putrajaya. Gin Han has conducted numerous prosecution cases in the Magistrates’ Courts, Sessions Courts and the High Courts. Gin Han is well versed in various areas of criminal law such as the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants (ATIPSOM), Domestic Violence and Commercial Crimes to name a few.
Gin Han has also served as a Senior Assistant Director in the Liquidation Division of the Insolvency Department (MdI) where he manages companies being wound up and the MdI acted as the liquidator. He also supervised private liquidators.
Gin Han has also served as a Senior Federal Counsel (SFC) in Advisory Division of the AGC where he conducted feasibility studies on legal points for Government policies and projects.
Subsequently, Gin Han was a Senior Assistant in the Judicial and Legal Training Institute, Prime Minister’s Department (ILKAP) where he frequently gave legal talks to various agencies such as the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC), the Bintulu Development Authority, UITM diploma students and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).
In addition, Gin Han has previously served as an SFC in the Civil Division of the AGC where he was assigned to the Torts Unit.
Gin Han left the AGC in 2020 and joined Messrs. Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria from 15.11.2020 as a Senior Legal Executive. Subsequently after being called to the Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2022, he is now made a Senior Legal Associate.

Ahmad Faiz Razali graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) degree from the MARA University of Technology ("UiTM").
Ahmad Faiz commenced his Pupillage with Messrs. Dennis, Nik & Wong in 2015 and subsequently moved on to Messrs. S.N. Nair & Partners in 2016 as a Legal Associate. In February 2017, Ahmad Faiz went to Messrs. Gan Ho & Razlan Hadri as a Legal Associate.
Later in May 2017, Ahmad Faiz joined the Judicial & Legal Service and was made a Federal Counsel and was posted to the Civil Division at the Attorney General's Chambers. During this posting, Ahmad Faiz attended hearings and trials independently from Magistrate Court to Court of Appeal, defended decisions of public authorities and quasi-judicial bodies in Judicial Review applications in the High Court, defended the Government, its agencies, and officers' interests in a suit initiated by individuals with regard to civil wrongs, including negligence, breach of statutory duty, medical negligence, defamation, and other ancillary applications, such as discovery and interrogation applications, protected the Government's interest by initiating and defending the Government in contractual disputes.
Subsequently in 2018, Ahmad Faiz was transferred to the International Affairs Division at the Attorney General's Chambers. During this posting, Ahmad Faiz Ppovided advisory support concerning international trade and finance, particularly matters related to ASEAN, to the Government of Malaysia and its officials. Ahmad Faiz also offered legal opinions, vetted international instruments, and negotiated on behalf of Malaysia in trade missions. Ahmad Faiz has also acted as a Malaysian delegate in negotiation rounds of the ASEAN Protocol on Enhanced Dispute Settlement Mechanism.
From March 2019 until April 2022, Ahmad Faiz was transferred back to the Civil Division.
Moving on in April 2022 until December 2022, Ahmad Faiz was a Federal Counsel at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Malaysia. During this period, Provided legal advice on matters related to the internal security of the nation, particularly on powers conferred to the police for other enforcement agencies, and matters that fall under the 47 Acts of Parliament within the Ministry's jurisdiction, prepared legal briefs for the relevant commissions on disciplinary issues and termination of senior police officers and immigration officers. Ahmad Faiz was also engaged in policy discussions and legislation drafting, addressing issues in existing legislation and challenges faced by on-field officers. From December 2022 until June 2023, Ahmad Faiz was transferred back to the Civil Division of the Attorney General's Chambers where he acted for the Government of Malaysia and its officer in a civil suit for breach of statutory duty, negligence or in any exercise of official power and duties. Ranging from Magistrate Court to High Court. Ahmad Faiz also acted as Junior Counsel in a contractual dispute involving a large-scale biometric project with a claim reaching RM86 Million.
Subsequently, after leaving the Judicial & Legal Service in June 2023, Ahmad Faiz was appointed as a Legal Advisor to the PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre. In May 2024, Ahmad Faiz went back into legal practice and joined Messrs. Esther Ong, Tengku Saiful & Sree.
Effective 12 June 2024, Ahmad Faiz joined Messrs. Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria as a Senior Legal Associate.

Muhammad Zariqh Alfian Mohamad Hanafiah holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
Zariqh is currently the Chambers Manager of Messrs. Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria ("MHZ") where he manages and ensures the overall operation of the firm is in compliance with all the statutory and regulatory requirements according to the legal profession standards in Malaysia.
In addition, as Zariqh has been legally trained, he is also greatly involved in all briefs received by MHZ.
In early 2021, Muhammad Zariqh has recently been appointed as a Legal Advisor to a local consultancy firm to assist and advise in matters concerning the United Kingdom's Companies Act 2006.
