Muhammad Asfalwafiq bin Zakri

Muhammad Asfalwafiq bin Zakri graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons.) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM), where he was a multiple recipient of the Dean’s List Award. He commenced his pupillage with Messrs. Azri & Co in 2024 under the civil litigation department and was subsequently called to the Bar in September 2025.
Following the completion of his pupillage, Wafiq served as a Research Assistant at the National University of Malaysia under a government-funded project on the corporatization of the Department of Insolvency, contributing to policy development, institutional reform analysis, and the preparation of the project’s final report, which included aspects of corporate advisory.
Driven by his aspiration to become a dedicated legal practitioner, Wafiq joined Messrs. Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria as a Legal Assistant effective 3rd November 2025, bringing with him valuable experience in legal research, litigation support, and policy-oriented legal analysis, including insights into criminal defence litigation.
